Third-place finish in MLRA stop at Deer Creek Speedway

Thursday night found the Black Diamond Race Cars team in action at Maquoketa Speedway (Maquoketa, Iowa) for the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) weekend opener. The following night at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) for the River City Rumble, Pearson Jr. secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a third-place finish in his heat. Rolling off 12th, Earl was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on lap 22.

To wrap up the tripleheader weekend on Saturday at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.), Earl passed four cars in his heat race to finish third. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Pearson Jr. marched forward five spots in the 40-lap affair to record a third-place finish. He trailed Chris Simpson and Jordan Yaggy across the line with Garrett Alberson and Chad Mahder rounding out the Top-5.
