EPJ records fifth-place finish in Diamond Nationals at Wheatland

With the first two events of the tripleheader weekend rained out, Earl Pearson Jr. headed to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Saturday afternoon for the 15th annual CMH Diamond Nationals. With the field of 34 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries set on standby for over two hours after Mother Nature made an appearance before hot laps, Pearson Jr. secured his spot into the $15,000-to-win A-Main with a second-place finish in his heat. Improving one spot in the 50-lap feature, Earl posted a fifth-place finish, which came behind Jonathan Davenport, Josh Richards, Kyle Bronson, and Stormy Scott. (Heath Lawson photo)
