17th-place finish in Topless 100 at Batesville

After Mother Nature condensed the three-day event into a two-day program, Earl Pearson Jr. was one of 47 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand at Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Ark.) on Friday for the 29th annual Comp Cams Topless 100. With his performance on Friday relegating him into the B-Main on Saturday, Earl passed five cars to score a runner-up finish. Starting the $40,000-to-win Topless 100 in 19th, Pearson Jr. clawed forward two spots in the 100-lapper to place 17th.
